Weight: 27.5 lbs

Sleep: Fairly good at night this week.  There was definitely no sleeping in over the weekend...Linc was not having that.  We were up bright and early Sat & Sun, he was raring to go go go!  He did have some pretty fantastic 3+hr long naps though, and that meant Mommy was able to catch a nap too on Saturday and it was wonderful.  
Food: Linc enjoyed several meals out this week, having lunch out and about with Mommy & a work friend Wednesday and Daddy & Uncle Gil on Thursday...and Friday he had sushi with Mommy & Daddy at Reston Town Center, followed by some fro-yo and a fountain run!

Best Moment This Week: We took Linc to the ENT to have his 2 week post surgery checkup and his tubes look great!  The illustration to the side here shows what the tubes in Linc's ears look like.  He was such a good boy and that was pretty impressive since the Doctor saw us like an hour after we were scheduled.  They had nice little signs posted asking not to have children play in the exam chairs or with any equipment in the room but you know what with a 18mo old all bets are off after 30min of not being seen.

Also plastic dixie cups full of water are handy distractions...please note we did not rely on latex gloves and silicone breast implants this time, though truthfully I suppose we would have if we had access.
Worst Moment This Week:  Linc's daycare called us on Tuesday and let us know that he had a bit of a rash that had developed on his torso and his legs and they were concerned that it might be a food allergy.  I got him into the Doctor that afternoon and they thought it could be a food sensitivity or possibly a virus that is common in babies Linc's age during the summer months.  We decided to cut back on dairy and fruit and keep Linc home a few days until the rash subsided.  He is doing much better now and he was back in daycare today (Friday).  

What We're Looking Forward To: 

Babysitting two cutie little boys Sunday  
Wedding coming up in August

Trip back to Indiana

Movement: Always, always moving.  He is singing, dancing, drumming, talking on the phone (or pretending to anyway), this kid is on the go.

Milestones: Building vocabulary; Your toddler's vocabulary will grow by leaps and bounds over the coming months. While the first single words are usually nouns ("cat," "ball," "bottle"), phrases that use nouns and verbs tend to follow within a few months of first words: "Me want." "Go bye-bye."
For every chatterbox, there's a child who's relatively quiet. It's still too early to worry about a late talker, although if your child doesn't speak at least 15 words by now, it's a good idea to consult your doctor, who may recommend seeing a speech therapist to rule out any problems.
