Sleep: T2B Status: More good nights than bad at this point...so that's something. Still ironing out some babyproofing kinks but we are most of the way there. We are loving our new video monitor system, I suspect there will be a separate post about it showing up soon.

Food: Ya never really know what kinda of a food mood Linc is going to be in at dinner time. Some days he will devour anything and everything and some nights he'll eat some fruit and maybe some string cheese or yogurt and call it a night. This week he did pretty well he enjoyed the grilled chicken & veggies that Daddy did up on the grill when Auntie Julie came over for dinner Thursday and to go along with he also ate a small baked potato, oranges, string cheese, a few teddy grahams and three bites of brownie (it was a special occasion). So it was definitely one of his better nights! Then comes the next night and we had perogies, basically pasta, cheese, and potato - all things he loves - nope, not having it, would not eat a bite of them. Ok, so back to yogurt & fruit it is.

Best Moment This Week: Lincoln and Daddy had a great time at Tot Shabbat & had a little visit to PetsMart on Saturday. Linc was very interested in looking at all the different animals. First he saw the cats and loved them so much he didn't want to leave them, but then he saw the guinea pigs and didn't want to leave them, and then came birds & fish and Todd could barely pry him away...we may have almost ended up with another animal, Daddy is so the weak one.
While the boys were doing their thing, I went with Auntie Cyndi to a couple of Children Consignment sales around the local area. I made out pretty well and got a few great toys for Lincoln's Hanukkah (like a super awesome little tikes foosball table), a few that he could have now, some books, and some fantastic fall/winter clothes deals!
The rest of the weekend was pretty shot because it was so cold and rainy, so we enjoyed lots of inside activities and Gymboree playtime on Sunday.
Worst Moment This Week: See Movement.
While the boys were doing their thing, I went with Auntie Cyndi to a couple of Children Consignment sales around the local area. I made out pretty well and got a few great toys for Lincoln's Hanukkah (like a super awesome little tikes foosball table), a few that he could have now, some books, and some fantastic fall/winter clothes deals! The rest of the weekend was pretty shot because it was so cold and rainy, so we enjoyed lots of inside activities and Gymboree playtime on Sunday.

Movement: Falling down goes along with Movement, yes? Well Linc is a rough and tumble tot and sometimes his antics get him a bump or bruise or well, both. The other evening Lincoln was playing around the kitchen and he looovves to go back behind our table. He must have gotten his foot caught or something but I hear a loud boom and then crying followed. He had fallen and bumped his head on the wall/floor/table. He had a nice big goose egg on his upper forehead. We basically had to pin him down to get an ice pack on it, and then I had to get him to take a dose of Tylenol cuz I was sure that was going to start to hurt real soon. He is completely fine and it actually didn't bruise too badly but he did have a nice sized bump. Ahhh toddlers...
Milestones: Toddler preferences; Toddlers like things "just so." Along with tantrums and exploration, obstinacy is a hallmark of this toddler stage. Respect your child's preferences and interests, and let him make some choices, such as which jelly to spread on toast or which shirt to wear. Make it clear that some things – particularly behaviors that affect safety – are not up for negotiation.
