Team i6 Takes on Week 130

We had another sweltering weekend here in NOVA which makes getting out and doing things just a little bit more of a challenge, but we are still finding a few things to keep us occupied indoors.  There was a big storm that came through on Friday night and we were some of the VERY lucky ones in the area that didn't lose power, many people in some parts of NOVA and Maryland that just got back or still don't have power.  It was pretty crazy!

Well, we beat the heat Saturday afternoon with a trip to the Udvar Hazy with the Alderson's.  You just can't say no to a large open area with airplanes and free entry after 4pm and let's not forget all the air conditioning you can enjoy.

Linc was pretty partial to the helicopters. 

He did like all the brightly colored & decorated planes as well...and the huge new (to us) Space Shuttle.

And then before we knew it, it was time for us to pack up and catch a plane ourselves to head to Indiana for a little bit of 4th of July fun!  Here are a few pictures of our adventures so far....

Playing with his stickers on flight #1 to Atlanta.  And then passed out on flight #2 to Fort Wayne, but of course only for the last 20min of it.

 Then we were off for Nappanee to have a tasty lunch at Coppes Common's and enjoy a little ice cream freshly made to order with liquid nitrogen (made by an Amish guy).  Todd called it Mr. Wizard meets Cold Stone Creamery, he was pretty spot on.  And man was it good!

I think Linc thoroughly enjoyed his vanilla, while Grammy had chocolate, Mommy had Mexican spicy chocolate, and Daddy had Coffee Toffee. 

Alright on we go to continue our Indiana adventure with a trip to Purdue to see our friends the Schwartz's and their newest addition and then a visit with Grandpa Sparks, with a stop at Grammy's home base in between.  Until then...
