Team i6 Takes on Week 132

This week's priority was just to try to make it through the week without being too overly exhausted...the jury is still out as to whether or not it was a success, I am leaning towards no.

Saturday we spent the morning just relaxing and getting laundry started but it wasn't long before Linc was climbing the walls with energy so we decided to take a little trip to the Reston Zoo to enjoy some animals.  Faves for this visit were the Alligators, and as always the tractor ride.  We did find out while we were there that they are beginning construction on a new barn for all the petting zoo animals that should be done by the end of the season.  Interesting.

That evening we met up with our friends the G's and had dinner at PF Chaings and then hit up a carnival with the kids.  They were loving the dragon roller coaster, most of all...I think the giant fun slide was a close second.
And you know Lincoln was loving the Firetruck ride....
We are definitely finding ourselves more and more in the midst of the terrible twos.  When we tried to leave the carnival there were many many tears and he was not going down with out a fight.  I'll chalk it a little up to the fact that we have rocked his little world lately and his schedule has been quite off base for a while now, we are working to remedy that.

Sunday we had Gymboree and Linc got to see his pal Thomas, who he had missed for a few weeks.  And then we spent the afternoon at a local pool which helped little mister energy work out some wiggles and take a nice long nap.  We had dinner that night with Uncle Gil at Guapo's, food was very tasty as always.
Linc pretty much ate everyone at the table's beans, all his rice, chicken and chips & salsa...then he resorted to eating the tomatoes straight out of the salsa.  After dinner Uncle Gil had some half-birthday presents for Linc to open.  Oh Uncle Gil, you spoil this little guy...

Our very first set of Lego's, and boy are we psyched!
Come Monday we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of The i6 Family who were coming for a few weekdays to see us and some DC sites.  Lincoln was just so excited to see everyone, he could not get enough of his cousins!

It was a great visit, but too short that is for sure.  Linc (and us too) was super sad for everyone to leave.  But hopefully we will get a trip to Cleveland in before this summer is over.

So Wednesday the i6 Fam were checking out and Thursday the Schwartz's were checking into Hotel de i6.  We got to enjoy a tasty chargrilled dinner thanks to the boys and Linc had fun showing Haddie his new found Lego skillz, though I am pretty sure Auntie Tammy schooled us all there.

We are going to try to take it a little easy this weekend but we'll see what happens.  Linc has a birthday party for a classmate Saturday but other than that rest and lots more laundry are the orders of the weekend.  Happy Friday Y'all!
