Sleep: Sleep in CLE was pretty darn good considering, yay for adaptability, but there was definitely no sleeping in I will say that!  I don't think Linc took a single nap in his pack-n-play because we were mostly on the go, so he got his naps in when we were in the car coming or going...Mommy & Daddy did notsomuch get their occasional weekend nap, but it was well worth it to see everyone we got to catch up with.
Food:  Linc was one well fed baby this past weekend.  Grandma Isaacs made sure to have lots of yummy stuff on hand and all of Linc's faves.  He scarfed down on fresh watermelon and that was definitely a popular snack when we took a break from swimming at the pool. 
Monday night we had burgers courtesy of the Aldersons and Linc got his very own cheeseburger, of which he ate almost 1/2!  He was also a big big fan of the pasta Cyn made & he did in fact eat at least two bites of veggies, I saw it with my own eyes.

Best Moment This Week:  Like I posted earlier, we had a wonderful trip to Cleveland!  Lincoln loved his time spent at the pool, which bodes well for his up coming swimming lessons set to begin tomorrow (Saturday 6/25).  The boy knows no fear...he would leap from the edge of the pool into Todd's or my arms, he is crazy that's for sure (and possibly part fish).  Case in point: he also attempted to run straight into the lake, clothes and all, when we were walking on the beach one morning.
Ok, and moving beyond swimming another really adorbs thing that Linc does, I mean aren't they all, but I digress...
He's started to "sing" his ABCs.  You can kinda catch an A and a B in there but the rest is mostly gibberish. 

Worst Moment This Week: Bummer #1: Hearing that our Uncle Jim, my Mom's brother, fell and broke his hip & had to have replacement surgery.  He is in good spirits, but we know he is not feeling real great right now.  We are thinking about him and hope that he feels better very soon!
Bummer #2: Linc's bestest buddies have all moved to the cub room in daycare, so now he is one of the oldest kiddos in his ladybug room.  He has had some rocky mornings this week at drop off since his pals were not there like normal to greet him and play.  But he is making new friends with the fresh faced little babes who have just moved into his room and he'll show them the ropes & they will be besties soon enough I am sure (and well if not then my son will just chase them down and sit on them, that's how the best of friendships start, lol).

Movement: Climbing, oh the climbing! Sometimes I think we've got a little Sir Edmond Hillary on our hands.  He looks to conquer pretty much any summit: couches, chairs (oh he especially likes the pub height ones those provide that little extra challenge), stairs, people, dogs (Alex & Guinness are more like foothills, but better watch out Meigs I think you're his Machu Picchu)

Milestones:  Security blankets and other loveys; If your child is attached to a particular blanket or stuffed animal, just wait. Security-object obsession typically escalates during the second year – and for good reason: "Loveys" are parent substitutes. Your child is physically and mentally capable of more and more, and every day is jammed with new experiences, sights, sounds, and words. Cuddling up to a love object, especially when your child is stressed, sick, or tired, provides just the security boost he needs to stay on an even keel.
Respect the lovey! It can help bedtime go more smoothly and is actually a sign of maturity, not of being babyish. Ideally you'll have two identical ones – one to keep at home and one to take with you to daycare (if it's allowed), to the doctor's office, on excursions and car trips, and so on.
The chosen object may start to look a little ratty, but don't go overboard trying to keep it pristine and germ-free. Often the distinctive odor and look of a lovey is what makes it special to your child. If you do manage to have two loveys, you can rotate them regularly so that both are equally familiar. This will be a lifesaver if one ever gets lost.
