We spent most of the weekend at the campground where Grandpa & Grandma spend their summers. Since there is one more of us now and we needed a little more space we decided to get our own cabin so we could spread out. I say roughing it, but really we had it pretty good, we even had our own bathroom and kitchen area...so roughing it might be a bit of a stretch.
Anyway, Lincoln had the best time. The older he gets the more he loves camping, and Daddy could not be more thrilled. Linc specifically requested marshmallows and sausages to roast over the fire. He wanted to go fishing & swimming, and ride the golf cart, all things he equates with camping. I think another highlight was watching Daddy build a great campfire. We all loved sitting around the fire and catching up.
The food and the company were perfect and the kids had a blast running all around. Lincoln and his cousins even found a little place to catch itty bitty froggies. She must have liked it ok, she promptly fell asleep in the warm water and took a nice long afternoon nap. Lincoln, our little fishy, swam all over the place and held his own with his cousins & his Grandpa.
Part two of our trip to come with a post about Father's Day. Stay tuned...
