Team i6 Takes on Week 112

This week has felt like the longest week ever, so I am quite relieved to have made it to Friday!

We'll be kinda light on the pictures this week, good thing I gave you lots to look at last week huh? Here's what's you missed on this week's episode of The i6 Family

Linc & I attended our friend & regular babysitter Mary's Birthday party Saturday afternoon.  It was thrown by our friend Cortney and it was a garden theme!  And let me tell you it was SO cute!  Cortney really knows how to decorate for a party, she is the best, her attention to detail is awesome.  I am totally going to hire her for Linc's 3rd bday (uh, she may not know that yet, well I guess she does now...wink).  Linc had fun exploring Mary's house and chasing around Madison (Cortney's pup), eating a cupcake, helping Mary to open presents and in general entertaining everyone there.

Seriously?  How cute are these?
Cresent rolls to look like carrots stuffed with ham salad, topped with parsly.

YUMMY Cupcake!
Saturday night Linc had a date with Miss J at Red Robin, the 'rents showed up to chaperone of course.  We had a tasty dinner and Lincoln behaved like a gentleman for the most part, he got a little wiley at the end.  We all headed back to our place for some fun & games in the basement, which meant Linc got to show off his bouncy house once again.  The kiddos played while the adults enjoyed some wine & dessert,  it was lovely.
Sunday we had Gymboree & then lunch with Mr. T and his parents where they introduced us to the world of Dim Sum.  We trekked over to Fall Church/Seven Corners to a place called Fortune.  We had read about the place in the Washingtonian, it is THE place to get Dim Sum in the area.  And it is HUGE - seriously I have no idea how many tables this place has but it was gigantic and we got there at 11:00am and it was starting to fill up.  By the time we left at 12:30ish it was packed and there were people lined up out the doors waiting for a table!  The food was great & we all had a wonderful time!  I am so glad The N's were there to show us the ropes, we would have been lost with out them.

The rest of the week pretty much took forever.  Add to that Lincoln has decided that he will not close his eyes until 9pm (if we are lucky)!  And he is fighting his bedtime routine something fierce right now, he cries and cries and then lays on his stomach at his door with his mouth facing the crack at the bottom and loudly whales away.  Sometimes for good measure he kicks his feet at the door.  Awesome, right?  This show will go on for quite a while...until I give in and go back upstairs and rub his back until he falls asleep which doesn't take too long, but by that time it is around 9pm.  It is exhausting for all of us. What happened to 7:30pm bedtime and asleep by nlt 8pm???  Where are you early bedtime, where are you? ::turns in circle::
