Team i6 Takes on Week 115

Hi there, welcome back!  I have still been trying to kick this cold that has been kicking me back extra hard.  I felt better and then it was back with a vengeance, by that I mean it manifested into a sinus infection that.will.not.leave.my.body.  BUT I am now on an antibiotic and that seems to be working wonders.  So far no one else in our household has been brought down by this evil little bug and I would like to keep it that way!

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous so that has made me having this icky cold just that much more depressing.  However Lincoln has benefited by getting to spend extra time at daycare each night playing outside with his little friends, and he really doesn't even want to come with me when I get there to pick him up when they are about to close.  He would rather spend the night in the sandbox, thankyouverymuch!  As tempting as that is for me, just kidding, I drag him kicking and screaming home for dinner.  Why do I feel like I have many many years of this battle lying ahead of me?

Anyway let's trek onward to the rest of the recap of this weeks events in la villa del Isaacs':

We had a great weekend that consisted of a playgroup in Springfield where Linc got to hang with some new kiddos, work on his sharing, & hone his ability to find weaknesses in what seem to be pretty secure backyards.  Oh he likes to keep Mommy on her toes, this one.

Then a super fun trip to Frying Pan Park/Kidwell Farm.  He LOVED looking at all the baby piggies and naming all the other animals we saw too.  We practically had to pry him off of the play tractors they had setup so we could go play on the playground.  While we were there we ran into a blast from the past, a little buddy from way back at Kindercare!  Yes, it was little Mr. LJ, well not so little anymore.  They chased each other and ran all around that playground & we can't wait to setup a playdate so they can hang out some more.

Sunday night we went and visited our friends Kenny & Britney's new house in Herndon!  We are so excited that they moved to the area and we can call them neighbors!  We had a great dinner from the grill out on their deck and Linc had a blast exploring every inch of their yard and thoroughly freaking out at least one of their cats (sorry Bert, Molly was smart and stayed very well hidden).  It was so cute he kept grabbing Kenny by the hand and leading him different places outside, he really liked checking out Kenny's truck too!

Oh and we are totally highchair free now & Mr. Big gets to sit on a booster seat on a chair at the table just like Mommy & Daddy, well you know we don't actually have boosters too but you get the idea.

We rounded out the end of the week with pizza & a playdate last night with The N's.  Linc had a fantastic time showing T his casa & he really did a pretty good job sharing most of his toys...except his train from his Grammy that is kinda a dealbreaker.  Other than that though it was a great success of an evening!

We are heading into this weekend excited to see our good friends The Acks' and we'll see what other fun it brings, maybe a trip to our favorite zoo or the blossoms if the weather holds out!
