24 Weeks

How old? 5 Months 17days
Total weight: 15 lbs
Baby food: Todd had the brilliant idea - no really no sarcasm this time, actually brilliant - of mixing sweet potatoes with carrots and have this wonderful mash that Lincoln just can't get enough of and the texture is much improved than that of just plain ol' carrots! We also did a peas + rice cereal combination that has worked wonderfully. I think his dislike of peas was purely a texture thing, because this new smoother blend is a big hit with him. He is such a great little eater. I can't wait to introduce some new stuff, but we have decided to wait on that until after his 6mos checkup in a few weeks since the avocado incident.

Sleep: Like a baby...a very very good baby!

Best moment this week: Father's Day was great - lots of daddy/Lincoln bonding time. Other than that it was the small victories this week, like getting Linc to eat peas. ;-) Lincoln's future girlfriend Cora was born last Friday. She is just the sweetest little girl, so precious! Looking at pictures of her give me baby fever, and really makes me want a little girl. All these cute little girls, two in Indiana, one in Illinois...Linc could be a lucky little guy in about 15 1/2 years.

Worst Moment: Every single day this week Lincoln has come home from daycare in different clothes. Poopy blowouts all week...me thinks this has a lot to do with his new found love of solids.
What I'm Looking Forward To: Hanging with one of our fave Chi-town couples. Enjoying some GREAT beer. Just good times in general this weekend! =-) Mary & Cortney are gonna be the best babysitters ever, Linc is excited to hangout with them all day Sunday!

Movement: Witness this video below!

Milestones: As your baby starts becoming more active, he'll appreciate comfy clothes. Opt for soft fabrics that won't chafe him as he moves around. Loose, stretchy, and breathable clothing will provide your energetic little one plenty of wiggle room. Avoid clothes that have rough or scratchy seams; long ties, buttons, or bows (which could be a choking hazard); and anything else that gets in the way of your baby's sleeping, crawling, or playing.
